12th February 2025 Cannock Rotary Club were pleased to host a number of local organisations at our Donations presentation evening.
During our Rotary year Cannock Rotarians organise events to raise funds, whether it be a golf day, race night, quiz night, or our annual Santa collections, we raise funds to support good causes both internationally and locally.
It was our privilege to donate funds to those organisations who we believe to be worthy causes and who in turn support local families and local people across our area.
The funds we donated were raised at our Xmas collections events at local supermarkets and markets
Members and our partner clubs including Soroptimists International, Cannock Lions, and Stafford & Cannock League of Hospital Friends covered 15 Days of collecting during December at venues across the Cannock and Penkridge area
Our thanks go to, Asda, Tesco and Penkridge Market for allowing us to raise funds at their premises and we also thank the people from the Cannock Chase community for giving their hard-earned cash to our campaign.
Without their support we could not do what we do.
This year’s Xmas campaign raised almost £6500
As a club we are aware that there are many out there that need support and when reviewing the donation proposals, we looked to ensure we spread what funds we raised across a wide spectrum of good causes.
Covering areas which included, helping groups who support Youth & SEN Inclusion, The Homeless, those suffering Food poverty, Support for victims of abuse, Support for people on low incomes, Warm space provision, The elderly, those suffering from dementia and those caring for people with dementia, Hospice provision, Local hospital needs and Emergency preparedness & Response
